CIMC Enric Enters Into a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Shenergy

Recently, CIMC Enric, a subsidiary of CIMC Group, has entered into the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Shenergy, a subsidiary of Shenergy Group, pursuant to which, both parties will actively respond to the national dual carbon goals and leverage their advantages to deepen cooperation in low-carbon comprehensive energy supply, energy security and green electricity. Integrated comprehensive energy low-carbon service solutions will be utilized to build a green, safe and economical "zero-carbon factory".

The signing ceremony was held at Shenergy Group, during which Liu Wei, the secretary of the Party Committee of Shenergy, and Yang Xiaohu, an executive director and the president of CIMC Enric, entered into the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both companies, under the joint witness of Huang Dinan, the secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Shenergy Group, Hua Shichao, the vice president of Shenergy Group and the chairman of Shenergy, Gao Xiang, the president of CIMC Group and the chairman of CIMC Enric, and Fang Jianping, the vice president of CIMC Enric and the general manager of Shanghai Energy System Company.

At present, carbon emissions in China's industrial sector account for approximately 70% of the overall carbon emissions. Under the national dual carbon goal, the construction of zero-carbon factories becomes a driving force in the path of green industry transformation.

Energy saving and emission reduction technologies, renewable energy replacement and other measures will be applied by factories to achieve zero carbon emissions. Shanghai Energy System Company, a subsidiary of CIMC Enric, can provide products and services such as low-carbon energy stations through an integrated solution for intelligent distributed energy, to optimize factory energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. With its GW-level new energy base, Shenergy can supply green electricity to factories in a continuous and stable manner, thus promoting the green transformation of factory energy structure. Both parties will join hands with each other and take the lead in cooperation at factories of CIMC Enric, building an internationally leading zero-carbon factory and setting an industry example.

Sharing highly consistent concept in the green and sustainable development, CIMC Enric and Shenergy will take the opportunity of the strategic cooperation to formulate a mechanism for mutual trust and long-term collaboration of senior management, actively promote deep cooperation between both parties in various dimensions such as ESG, (near) zero-carbon factory building, energy management platform, electricity purchase and sale, green and low-carbon development, and work together to make contribution to energy conservation and emission reduction, energy efficiency improvement and green transformation of the energy structure of factories.
